External funds provides purpose-built support for scientific and research activities. The main providers of this type of funding at FHS CU is the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, Technology Agency of Czech Republic and some ministries.

Grant Agency of the Czech Republic

The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic was founded as an independent institution that provides funding for basic scientific research. Its main task is to annually (on the bases of a tender in research and evaluation) appraise the best basic research projects in all fields of science.

Technology Agency of the Czech Republic

Technology Agency of the Czech Republic was founded in 2009 by the Law nr.130/2002 Col. About support of research, experimental development and innovation. The Agency centralizes state support of applied research and development (there used to be a large number of providers).

NAKI

The programme for supporting applied research and experimental development of national and cultural identity (NAKI) is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

AZV

The Agency for Medical Research (AZV CZ) is a compartment of the Czech Ministry of Health. Its main task is to support applied research in the medical field in regards to the Law nr.130/2002 Col. about support for research, experimental development and innovation.
